Hey there!
My name is Emma Pigeon. I'm an RYT-500 and I teach athletes how yoga can improve their endurance, mental performance, and overall sport.

Background, Training, Philosophy
I'm Emma, and yes, my real last name is Pigeon, like the pose! I'm a full-time yoga instructor in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I've been practicing yoga regularly since 2017 and teaching since 2018. I completed my 200-hour YTT in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2018, and my 300-hour YTT in Rishikesh, India in 2020. Since then, I have completed additional certifications in trauma informed yoga and prenatal yoga. My teaching style is light-hearted, creative, and sometimes challenging. I'm trained in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, and pay a lot of attention to alignment details. No matter your skill level, I'll always give you options so you can find that perfect balance between effort and ease. I lead studio classes across the Valley, virtually on YouTube, and work privately with individuals, sports teams, and training facilities. I also lead workshops, teach fun wellness events and international retreats, and assist with teacher training programs. I believe in always being a student, learning something new, and sharing what I learn with my students. I am constantly learning more and diving deeper into yoga philosophy, such as the yoga sutras. EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasure of working with, working for, and in service of some amazing people throughout my career. love working with athletes specifically because they have such dedication to their sport and are willing to do what it takes, even if it feels uncomfortable or foreign, in order to improve. I have had the pleasure of contracting with the Kansas City Royals, previous professional athletes, and high-level gymnastics and baseball facilities in the area.

When I have free time, I enjoy teaching yoga at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Although the yoga practice looks much different here, I love introducing the practice of yoga asana and meditation to people at such a crucial time.
