I have been practicing yoga since 2002 and attended my first teacher training with Ganga White and Tracey Rich at the White Lotus Foundation in 2005, followed by Advanced Teacher Training there in 2007. In October of 2006, I spent two weeks at the International Sivananda Yoga Seminar House in Reith bei Kitzbühel, Austria, practicing yoga and attending a continuing education workshop for yoga teachers.
I continued to practice as life took me to Boston and New York City before returning to Memphis in 2010. I have been inspired by workshops with David Williams (Ashtanga Yoga for the Rest of Your Life), Seane Corn (Vinyasa Flow: Personal Evolution Through Movement) and Chris Coniaris (Exploring the Wilderness of Being at Gray Bear), among others. I enjoyed an active yoga practice through my own two pregnancies in Memphis in 2012 and 2014, and I am grateful for the yoga teachers who supported and encouraged me, including Olivia (Lomax) Rokotnitz at Delta Groove Yoga!
In 2018, I completed an 85-hour RPYT in-person training with Jessalynn Hakanson (Om Grown Yoga) at Sanctuary for Yoga in Nashville, TN. I completed 300 more hours of yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center in 2023.
While I specialize in teaching yoga for the childbearing year, I love to teach diverse bodies in vinyasa, slow flow, and gentle yoga group and private classes.
I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT® 500) and Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®). The more I learn, the more I have to learn, and each of my students has something to teach me.
