About
John~K offers classes, private lessons, and workshops in Yoga, Qigong and meditation. As he continues to deepen and refine his understanding and experience of these practices, John's goal is to help practitioners unleash the potential that lies within them.
Yoga
John has practiced Hatha Yoga since 1993. He apprenticed with his first Yoga teacher for one and a half years to become a teacher and began teaching in Virginia in 1996. In 2000, John completed a one year, 300-hour Hatha Yoga teacher training program at Sun & Moon Yoga Studio in Arlington, VA and was certified to teach. He has been registered with the Yoga Alliance ever since and is currently an E-RYT 200. John has taken workshops with internationally known instructors Donna Farhi, Doug Keller, Richard Miller, and Erich Schiffmann.
Qigong
John has practiced Sheng Zhen since 1997. He was one of the instructors in the first group to be certified to teach in the United States. His enthusiasm and incisive manner helps students easily learn this graceful practice. Over the years, John’s practice and training have taken him throughout the United States, and to China, Germany, the Philippines, Hawaii and Canada.
