Other Yoga teacher Elena

Elena gained her Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) 200 hour certification May 2018, and has been a proponent of the practice since 2001. Elena teaches yoga to children at First Presbyterian Preschool, The J Early Learning Center, Coronado Montessori and adult yoga at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Student Recreation Center, First Presbyterian Church, Coronado Montessori and Saturday mornings at The Farmers' Market at Ardovino's Desert Crossing.

Elena received an award for athlete of the year, when she was only 14 years old, in recognition of her academics, and enthusiasm for sports and health. Elena graduated with a Bachelor of Health Education in 2003, and a Master of Public Health in 2005, from New Mexico State University. She has over ten years of experience managing health education programs, along the U.S. Mexico Border. She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership El Paso. She has served on a number of nonprofit boards, and is currently the 2019 Chair-elect of the CASFV (Center Against Sexual and Family Violence) Board of Directors.
