Jenna stepped onto her mat after sustaining an injury that didn't allow for any high-impact exercise. She was hesitant to try something new, but at the encouragement of a friend she started trying different classes and teachers and began to enjoy the practice itself. For the first time, she was able to feel what her body could do and how it felt-with no judgments and no expectations.

Welcome! My name is Danielle and I have been working with people (and their bodies) since 2013. I did my first yoga teacher training in 2012 in the cloud forest of Costa Rica. It was me, one other student, Morgan, and our two teachers, Irum and Joann. We did yoga in the shala over the river in the morning, ate organic food that was grown on the ranch and sat around Irum’s living room in the evenings and discussed the dharma (yoga teachings).

My yoga practice is a constant search for the balance between movement and stillness, strength and flexibility, loudness and silence, extroversion and introversion. These juxtapositions fuel my passion for yoga as a personal practice as well as my drive to teach what I discover. My classes are an endeavor to yoke the quiet beauty of personal practice with the excitement of sharing the experience with a like-minded kula.
